Our Pukekohe Awhi whānau group has taken off!

Introduced at the beginning of this year with 2 sessions per term, we had one ākonga and his mum for the first term. This grew to 2 ākonga for the second term and by the third term, we had 5 ākonga and a parent attending.

In addition, we welcomed our Counsellor to attend plus external physiotherapists, early interventions teachers and a representative from PVI. We believe that this collaboration is very important to provide a holistic support structure around ākonga and their whānau.

We request feedback twice a term and involve whānau in which actions songs and activities they would like. Our sessions are whānau centred and aim to empower them.
