They took part in tandem cycling with a pilot and used adapted trikes, building confidence and new skills. Ākonga also met Para athletes who shared their experiences in sport and disability, offering real insight into potential pathways such as Paracycling.
The day promoted inclusion and participation while demonstrating the value of strong community partnerships. Feedback from ākonga and whānau was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing it as an exciting and valuable opportunity. We look forward to seeing ākonga continue to explore and grow within this pathway.
