Julie Bowen and Alana Bogart attended the Orientation and Mobility Association of Australia (OMAA) Conference in Sydney 2025.

The theme was Independent and Working Together.  Two of the key speakers were:  Daniel Kish talking about Independence and Self Determination and John Ravenscroft discussing perspective for children with Cortical Vision Impairment.  We were updated on new technology from robotic guide dogs to the latest updates on Apple accessibility.  Julie represented BLENNZ and volunteers as the Communication Chair for OMAA.  Alana presented her work on Haptic Social Communication.  The conference was a great opportunity to collaborate and network.  We look forward to implementing and sharing what we have learnt with children and teams across BLENNZ. Thank you for such an amazing opportunity.
